SNICKERS Ornament Truffles

This fun and festive edible no-bake holiday ornament tastes as good as it looks.

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 0 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes (+ 10 minutes chilling time)
Makes: 12 servings

Ingredients:

6 Snickers Minis Chocolate, halved
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
Pinch salt
1/3 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups icing sugar
Green and red food coloring
1 shoestring black licorice lace, cut into 8 pieces
1 tbsp edible glitter

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350˚F. Spread flour on parchment paper–lined baking sheet; bake for 5 to 8 minutes or until lightly toasted. Let cool completely. Whisk flour with salt; sift to remove any lumps.

Using electric mixer, beat together butter, brown sugar, peanut butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Stir in flour mixture until fully combined.

Divide dough into 12 portions. Wrap each portion around 1 half Snickers Mini Chocolate to enclose; roll each portion into ball.

Whisk icing sugar with 2 tbsp of water until smooth; divide between 3 small bowls. Add enough green food coloring to one bowl and red food coloring to second bowl to achieve desired hue, leaving the third bowl plain.

Divide balls into each bowl, coating in icing. Fix piece of black licorice on top of each ball to resemble Christmas ornaments. Dust with edible glitter. Refrigerate for about 10 minutes or until icing is set.

Tip:
If needed, stir 1 to 2 tsp milk into dough if dough is too dry or crumbly.

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 35 minutes
Makes: 16 servings

Ingredients:

3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup butter
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 cup brown sugar

1 tube brown or black gel icing
16 mini chocolate-covered pretzels, cut in half
32 small candy eyes
2 tbsp Christmas sprinkles

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 8-inch round baking pan. Line bottom with parchment paper; set aside. Whisk together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.
Melt butter and peanut butter in saucepan set over medium heat. While still hot, stir in brown sugar; remove from heat. Transfer to large bowl; let cool slightly.
Beat in egg and vanilla until incorporated. Stir in flour mixture until just combined. Fold in chopped Snickers and peanuts. Scrape batter into prepared pan, smoothing top.
Bake on middle rack for 20 to 25 minutes or until tester inserted in center comes out with just a few moist crumbs clinging to it. Let cool completely on rack. Carefully remove from pan; cut into 16 wedges.
