During hot summer days, ice cream is the only answer for the heat. It is so refreshing to have a pint or a cone of different flavored ice cream while enjoying the summer sun. Although it is usually for kids but it doesn't really have a specific type of costumer. At any age we can all eat this cold sweet cream. It has a lot of flavors; vanilla flavor, chocolate, strawberry, mango and many more.

Not just that, ice cream is also one of women's weapons when it comes to the healing process. Have you ever noticed that most women have the tendency to eat much much more it when they are in pain? When their boyfriends broke their heart the eat this cold sweet cream. They said that it can heal the heat inside their heart. I say, this cold sweet cream that was discovered in the 4th century B.C. is really the ultimate comfort food.

So if you're wondering what's on it that can even heal women's broken heart? The answer is just simple. Because it is cold it insulates and soothes the pain in our heart. It serves as an anesthesia for the pain that's engulfs the heart. Their main ingredient is milk or dairy, according to Chinese medicine, dairy can generate fluids and it is neutral in nature that has an affinity for the heart, lung and stomach. This cold cream can mends the heart and slows down the heavy breathing of the lungs because of the calming nature of milk. Milk has a nature of slowing things down it is opposite of coffee which can make you more hyper.

Though it is good for the heart it can also cause some digestion problems. If you have lactose intolerance, eating ice cream is a bit much of a problem. And also excessive eating of it may cause some irregularities in your body.

Remember that everything has its opposite and equal reaction; even our comfort food has also a side effect on our body. It is not advisable to eat it all the time. Everything has its useful moment so don't abuse things. If your in some kind of pain, try ice cream as a first aid to the heart because ice cream is the ultimate comfort food. It doesn't also mean that ice cream can heal all the pain. Having a shoulder's friend is still the best way to heal the heartaches and pains.

Julz Ice Cream and Candies, formerly known as Naidu’s Ice cream has been a family owned business in West Sacramento for the past 23 years. We are a wholesale Novelty warehouse specializing in brand names like Blue Bunny, Good Humor, Its It, Nestle, Haagen Dazs, Wonder, Foster Farms, Ben & Jerry’s, M & M Mars, Delicias, and Rich’s to name a few. We serve the local ice cream truck vendors, mini marts, schools, Churches, Company picnics, and General Public in any event that needs ice cream.

My father, Mr. Naidu started as an ice cream vendor on the streets of Dixon, California, 30 years ago. We all grew up selling ice cream on the streets of Dixon. As soon as we got our driver’s license, our father gave us an ice cream truck to teach us responsibility and the value of a hard earned dollar. Even till this day, we are known as THE ICE CREAM family in Dixon. I remember throwing candies out from the trucks at the Dixon Mayfair Parade. Good times!!!

Today our pride and joy is this wholesale novelty warehouse, which is operated by husband Ravi, my two son’s Shivam and Avineet and myself, Julz. We are open seven days a week from 8am to 1pm, weather permitting. Our hours change for the winter months. But whether hot or cold, ice cream is a treat that everyone loves to eat, stop by and check us out!!!!

Retro Candy, With A History Of Teaching A Science Lesson, And Treating Illnesses

Until the mid 1800's, this candy was used as a medicine, having been recognized to bring about therapeutic results. Of course, candy and other sweets of all varieties, due to their popularity as gifts and special treats, is still a form of "therapy" for many of us. Rock Crystal Candy has its own history, though. Many people remember details of this science lesson from their school days.

The science lesson revolving around this popular candy includes the molecular composition of sugar (12 atoms of carbon, 22 atoms of hydrogen, and 11 atoms of oxygen) and the affect heat has on it. It demonstrates the science of saturated and super-saturated solutions, the creation of seed crystals, and the rate of crystalline growth. When the sugar is mixed with water, the sugar dissolves, and is defined as having gone into solution. When as much sugar as possible has been dissolved, the solution is considered "saturated". The addition of high heat levels allows space for more sugar to be dissolved, which leads to the solution being "super-saturated". This is an unstable state. Crystallization occurs when the sugar molecules begin to crystallize back into a solid.

The only supplies needed to conduct this science lesson are a saucepan, source of heat, spoon, and a measuring cup... some of the same equipment needed for making fudge and other candies. Although, in these other types of candy, crystallization is the one thing to protect against; a batch of fudge that has crystallized is considered a failure. With Rock Crystal Candy, crystallization is the goal. The science experiment is complete, and the candy is edible after seven days. Not surprisingly, this traditional science lesson is still popular today, and is practiced by educators in both public and private school settings.

Rock Crystal Candy is made by the process of crystallization. Commercially, the candy is made by pouring a hot purely saturated solution of cane sugar and water into large tanks. During cooling, larger crystals are produced. These are "harvested", packaged, and then delivered to market. Rock Crystal Candy comes in the form of strings, sticks, and loose crystals contained in a straw, called swizzle sticks. There are several flavors on sticks that can be used to stir and flavor a cup of coffee. These are very popular and unique.

Cotton Candy

A carnival or an amusement park is not complete without a cotton candy being sold. It is pure sugar spun that has been melted with a small amount of coloring. The old fashion way to make cotton candy is to melt sugar in a pan and use a fork to make strings of sugar. When the sugar strings dry, they will look like fluffy cotton. It has been called cotton candy in the US, but some countries still call it Fairy Floss or sugar spun.

MARSHMALLOWS

SOFT NOUGAT

PRALINE

Another popular soft candy is pralines. It is usually made from ground nuts and sugar syrup. The most common nuts used, especially in France, are almonds and hazelnuts. In the US, the most popular nut is pecans with cream added. The praline became a sugary, creamy, pecan-laden candy. Pralines are said to be a creation of a cook at Marshal du Plessis-Praslin's Chateau of Vaux-le Vicomte and named after Praslin, a sugar industrialist.

MARZIPAN

Marzipan is a soft, doughy, sweetened almond based paste. It is also flavored with rosewater. Its main ingredients are ground almonds or almond paste, egg whites and sugar often molded to different decorative shapes and sizes. It is also used as cake filling or icing.
